Collecting and using your data
We collect different types of information for different purposes to provide and improve our service. Our most important service when using our apps and tools is to ask you to rate a video or audio offer while watching/listening to it. This rating is recorded and stored on our server-technically, for every second of the running media content, we log the state of your “slider” in the form of a value between 1 and 100.
In some studies, we also ask you questions such as your gender, your media preferences or your age-depending on the aim of the study. This data is also stored on our servers. However, we have no further information about you, but these questions are beyond and your evaluation histories.
If you have been redirected from another website to our tools (RTRonline or RTReval), we will not collect the information you provide there, nor do we know anything about you from these websites. We only store a participant number if such a number has been provided to you by the other website and this number is transferred to our tool.
After the evaluation, you will be redirected to another website in some study designs, for example for a survey. We only transfer your participant ID there. Please contact the provider of these websites to how they handle your evaluation data.
When using our services, we may ask you to provide us with certain personal information that can be used to contact or identify (“personal information”). Personal data may be cookies and usage data, but is not limited to it.
